As Vicks prepared to enter into the naturals’ market for children’s medicine, RDG leveraged trends insights to inspire the package design and Botanicals identity to communicate their point of difference amongst other drug-free brands.
This product resonates with parents who seek alternatives to “hardcore” medicine for their young children. Vicks’ entry into this field solved for shortcomings in the market by providing trusted, multi-symptom relief for children as young as age one. In order to highlight this, we opted for natural textures and botanical illustrations in a contemporary-yet-kid-friendly look to distinguish it from many of its competitors.
